Really enjoyed our week here. The hotel was clean and stylish, with a nice bar, lovely restaurant, and a small swimming pool with a gym next door. Set in a little canal area with boats coming and going. You definitely need a car, but parking is free and plenty of space. The rooms were spacious, well decorated, quiet, the bed comfortable and the shower was gorgeous. The staff were exceptional and the biggest selling point, especially at breakfast, they just didn’t stop. They were courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about places to visit. The management should be proud of them all. Well situated being close to the M53, so easy to tour Wales, Liverpool, Manchester etc. Cheshire Oaks is only one junction away and has a Vue cinema and loads of eating places next to it. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very close to Cheshire Oaks. Friendly staff, limited selection on menu in evening but what we had was lovely and staff very helpful. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and always topping it up. Lovely view while eating breakfast again morning staff very helpful. 24 hour bar which was nice so we could sit and chat rather then just being in the room. Great size tv and channel choice. Comfy bed and clean room. Love the fact there is a bath too! Dove toiletries

First of all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We got into our room a little early, and it was lovely. One comfy king bed, lots of space, and very clean. The lady at reception offered to book us a table in the restaurant and went out of her way to ensure all my allergies were catered for. A BIG bonus for me. The chef even wrote a list of all the dishes I could eat and made some modifications, and I have to say, the bangers and mash were delicious! The breakfast choices were vast, including cooked items, cereals, pastries, breads, and various cold meats and cheeses. All with a pretty water view. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you find yourself in the area.

Hotel staff were fab, friendly and always happy and attentive. Each morning the children were offered a little bag of duck feed to go and feed the ducks, which my girl loved. Food was excellent at dinner and breakfast, lots of variety. The room was very clean, comfortable and we had a great few nights sleep. We had a swim each day we were there. They game us towels so we didn't need to bring our own. The pool was lovely warm and only a few people in at a time. Loved our stay, we wanted somewhere close by the zoo and this was perfect, only about a 15 minute drive (depending on traffic)

We like the location as it's near the canal and there is no traffic noise. Our rooms were large, well equipped and clean with blackout curtains, a well stocked refreshments tray, large TV and hairdryer. The breakfast was good - lots of choice and a good supply of hot food which was regularly replenished and staff walking around to check if you needed anything and to remove dirty plates and crockery. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When my partner's mother accidentally pulled the emergency cord in her accessible room (large with a great wet room) we were pleased by how quickly the staff responded with two coming to her 'rescue' and another phoning our room.

I had read previous reviews regarding the staff, saying how helpful and friendly they were. And this was absolutely correct, every single staff member we spoke to or interacted with was lovely! Even gave our grandson a little pack of food to feed the ducks with. I loved how everyone chatted with him, where normally children can be looked at as an annoyance, we felt that they were very much welcome! He loved going swimming even though 45mins wasn't quite long enough for him. Overall a great spot for visits to Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium.

The warmest welcome at reception set the tone for the weekend. All the staff were professional, friendly and extremely helpful. A lot of hotels have lost this very personal touch. The location of the hotel is lovely - a real hidden gem. The room was spotless and very comfortable with lots of pillows and big soft fluffy towels. Dinner was delicious, Sweet potato soup, fish & chips followed by sticky toffee pudding with custard. All meals were fresh, hot, well presented and good value. The breakfast was lovely with a great choice and plenty of staff so no waiting to place orders. I can't wait to stay again especially for the food and service. Thank you everyone

Our son has severe allergies and the staff were amazing with helping our stay a great one. Nothing was a problem my son has so much anxiety about eating in a restaurant, but staying here he was so at ease. This for us as parents was so happy to see him like this and he looked forward to going for his meals. The head chef came to meet our son and made him feel valued and safe whilst eating in the restaurant. All the staff were briefed about the allergies and they all made sure he was ok. Brilliant service.

The hotel is surrounded by water being by the port, the restaurant looks out onto the water. You can walk all around the outside looking at the canal boats etc. You can park right outside the hotel and offers an overflow carpark too. As a family we do lots of city breaks etc so being able to park right outside free of charge is.great. There is a little swimming pool in a separate building where you can book slots to swim, great facilities and clean. They provide the towels etc so makes the washing less when you get home. We will definitely be staying again as its close to Liverpool, chester, Cheshire oaks etc.
